Praise and blame,
gain and loss
pleasure and sorrow
come and go like the wind.
To be happy, rest like a great tree
in the midst of them all.

I was drawn to the field of Nutrition primarily because of its integral relationship to our physical health. I wanted to assist people to eat for wellness and vitality. And I still do. Within a short time, however, I discovered that our relationship to food is at least as important as what we actually put in our bodies. Many of my clients tell me they have a pretty good grasp on what’s healthy, even with all of the mixed media messages about nutrition. But what about our ability to nurture ourselves? My belief is that most of us are emotional eaters to one degree or another - using food for comfort, control, to hide or escape. It is my greatest honor to accompany my clients to that more peaceful place with food and nourishment.
For me, health and wellness are comprised of our emotional, mental, spiritual AND physical selves. What we put in our bodies absolutely informs who we are on all levels. Nutrition is about nurturing ourselves; what we choose to put in our bodies is only a small component. Transforming a challenging relationship with food is the cornerstone of being able to nurture ourselves, setting the stage for true health and wellness.
Coupling energy work with relationship-to-food issues is a great joy for me, as is meeting with clients who are on a path of transformation in other ways.
I have pursued energy work as a modality for my own healing, self-discovery and growth for over 25 years, and I have been blessed to work with tremendous mentors and teachers. I truly know the value of offering and receiving gentle guidance, acceptance and encouragement for individual growth, self-love and empowerment. My training as a Reiki Master and with The Awakening Work has inspired my desire to help people heal on the spiritual, emotional, physical and mental levels. I am ever-inspired by the transformation that energy work allows us. It is a modality that is so gentle, yet so powerful.
My vision is to see energy work be a commonplace and integral part of health care, individually and system-wide. I am thankful every day to be bringing the amazing benefits of energy work to others.
